Building the Ravenel Bridge

East Bay (Morrison) Ramps

July 20, 2005: East Bay St Before

August 22, 2005: Sparky's view of marching to East Bay Street. I think this is Nassau St.

Good progress removing the Grace off ramp near the community swimming pool (which my wife enjoys!)

Gone is the Grace to I-26 ramp and now only the Nassau St US-17 overpass to unbuild

August 23, 2005:
Grace and Pearman ramps near Nassau St - working back toward East Bay St.

Not much left of the Grace ramp up to US 17

More battle of the Titans working their way to East Bay St.

And preparing to remove the Pearman Overpass over Nassau

September 2, 2005: East Bay Looking at East Bay from Cooper St.

Looking down Drake St. from Columbus - just a hint of the Pearman overpass

September 19, 2005:
Removing the Cooper River segment of the Pearman roadway

I thought it would be interesting to get another look at the Pearman skeleton from below - at the PBC boat ramp / Seabreeze Marina.

and surprise - I caught Michael Hebb working away at lunch

September 29, 2005: East Bay off-ramp

Sparky saw this on Thursday afternoon

and Friday morning when I got there, complete with fog, it is clear, the East Bay off-ramp is no more
